MERMAN Features; white hands with claws and subtle webbing that's retractable, iridescent scales over his hands and in random spots.

Prokopenko leaves the suite after he throws on some clothes and heads down through the building. He migiht've suggested the movie theater if only because he feels weird going into the club after some of the shit that's gone down there.

But whatever. Booze is booze.

It's not really hard to find Noah with his shock of white-blonde hair.

At first mingling with one of K’s guys sounded like a bad idea but if Ronan could do it, why couldn’t he? Especially considering he was the type Noah would have hung out with pre-death anyway.

Meeting at the club was the first thing that came to mind considering he hadn’t actually had the chance to go anywhere else yet. Being new had its disadvantages.

When he saw him, he smiled and turned towards him, shouldering around a passerby, “I...do not want to stay here for the record. The last time I was here Ronan saw me in weird lingerie and I still haven’t gotten the weird out of that. But,” he looked over Prokos face; he was...distracting, “I’m open to other suggestions.”

"There's a movie theater," he offers. "It's playing really shitty Christmas movies, but it's not... here."

Proko jerks his head back toward the entrance and starts backing up in that direction. Noah doesn't have to twist his arm to leave. The last time he'd been here--yeah.

There had been no lingerie.

"We can throw popcorn at anyone actually trying to watch the movie."

With one last glance at the club; bar, patrons, demons...he turned on his heel and followed after Proko.

Noah had little perception of personal boundaries so when he caught up, he was close, he needed to be. Touching was like breathing and up until now he had been slowly suffocating.

“Are we gonna watch the movie?”

"Depends on what's on," he says with a grin. Proko doesn't seem to mind that Noah is all up close; he's used to it. The pack was always all over each other, touching, shoving, lounging.

Apparently their options are Christmas with the Kranks, Jingle All The Way, Santa Claus Conquers Mars, and National Lampoon's Christmas.

Proko stands there staring at the marquee.

"What's our poison?"

Stopping beside him, Noah peered at the options and hummed thoughtfully, clicking his tongue idly.

“Santa Claus Conquers Mars,” he decided and looped his arm through Prokos to pull him inside. Snacks were necessary. “When that gets boring we can bounce to the others.”

He snorts a laugh and lets Noah pull him along. "Uhm, you just picked literally the worst movie of all time. We are so not ditching it, my man."

Snacks are easy to come by, at least. Popcorn, soda, whatever they want. Prokopenko loads them down like he's planning to camp out in the theater for the next several hours. He kind of is.

“Exactly,” Noah grinned and gave a chuckle before he helped with the pile of snacks.

Using his hip he shoved the door open and let Proko inside before following him in the theatre, “Since I pulled you out — you get to choose the seats.” Such an honor.

Such an hour. Proko veers to the middle of the theater and shuffles between the seats. The place is pretty empty but not completely deserted.

He flops into a seat and snickers when it squeaks obnoxiously. He shouldn't be surprised. He slinks down and puts his feet up on the chair in front of him.

Definitely.

Again, Noah follows him in and stops to take the equally squeaky seat beside him before taking an inventory of the snacks; tossing one of the candies into Prokos lap.

He tipped his head back to see where anyone else was sitting above them, then below before stretching out in the seat, “Now shhh...it’s time to be impressed.”

He snorts a laugh and drops his feet just so he can kick at Noah. It's what he'd do to Jiang or Kav and it feels easy to just... do it.

"Ssssh," he hisses back, grinning like an idiot as he lolls his head back and focuses on the screen. It's bad from the start and before long Prokopenko is offering low-toned snarky commentary, just loud enough for Noah to hear him.

Amused, he shifted and threw his legs over the far arm rest, crossing his feet at the ankles and went about eating a bag of peanut butter candies.

Noah listened to commentary and snickered, offering some of his own before holding a a candy piece blindly out for Proko to eat.

Prokopenko keeps his eyes on the screen but he accepts offerings of candy whenever Noah passes them over. He keeps the popcorn bucket between them for the same generous reason.

He watches as Santa and some human kids build a workshop or whatever on Mars to bring fun and imagination to the Martian children and lolls his head towards Noah.

"Talk to me, Czerny."

Tipping his head back a little until their faces were close, “What do you want to talk about?”

Reaching down he nabbed a few popcorn pieces and popped them into his mouth. In the dark he could see see enough of Prokos face to read him.

"I dunno," he admits. He keeps his eyes on the screen. "You from Henrietta? Like. You grow up there?"

Prokopenko gropes for the soda they have and pulls it close. It's the first thing he's had in days that doesn't have alcohol in it.

“Mhm,” Noah nestled again and watched the screen, “Born, raised, died in it.”

He paused then continued, “Two sisters. One older. One younger.” He nibbles absently on some cinnamon bears. “I had a red mustang that’s rotting away in the forest. I....” thinking, he tipped his head a little, “was easily bored so I used to go do anything that sounded fun. Didn’t matter what it was. I think that’s why I was so drawn to Ronan.”

Ronan made him belong.

Proko frowns and rubs his fingers through his hair.

"I was born in Odessa," he says. "The one in Ukraine." He says that because some asshole once asked him if he was from Texas and, at the time, Proko found it wildly offensive.

"Kavinsky's from Bulgaria, you know? Even if he sounds like New Jersey trash." He grins faintly.

Tipping his head back again he hummed, “Odessa,” it sounded nice rolling off the tongue.

“Yeah, I sort of knew. I mean, I don’t speak it but I recognized it when he would rattle off sometimes,” Noah chuckled softly and pinched his bottom lip a little, “It sounds creepy out loud but I always went with Ronan when he hung out with you guys.” He shrugged, “How old were you when you came to Henrietta?”

"Like fourteen? Fifteen?" He shrugs. "We lived in Baltimore for a while first, then my family started looking for private schools. They thought me being out of the city would be good."

He shrugs. He ended up in the middle of nowhere because his father didn't want him going to an overtly religious school.

"Were you? Fucking weird I never saw you. Like. I get it, I guess. But weird."

“And then you ended up in the middle of no where with Kavinsky.” Noah chuckled softly and moved some of the snacks aside in favor of turning until they were almost nose to nose.

“No one else saw me. Just Ronan, Gansey, Adam and Blue,” he paused, “Declan’s girlfriend saw me once but I don’t know how.” That last bit was still weird to him.

He hummed softly, “Yeah....weird.”

He snorts a little laugh and turns his attention back to the screen. He leans his shoulder into Noah's.

"You're not a ghost anymore, though."

“No, I’m not.” Noah replied quietly, as if he fully realized it just then. He could do what he wanted now. What did he want?

He wanted to have fun.

Slowly sinking back again until he was comfortable again he quieted for a long time. It was really just a span of minutes. Watching nonsense on the screen. Then he asked, “...did we just...bond?”

Over sugar and Christmas aliens.

A grin cracks his face and Proko shakes his head. "Yeah, I guess that's what that was. I'm used to it involving more body fluids but this was pretty good."

Maybe their mutually shed blood counts, even if they didn't shed it together.

He looks over at Noah and gives him a nudge.

"You're not so bad, Czerny."

"Yeah, I like you, too." Reaching over for the soda, he took a sip and bit the end of the straw, "Say it again. My name."

He lolls his head to actually look at Noah and a little grin tugs at the corner of his mouth. "Czerny?" he says again. He does it without any hesitation, no halting trips over the pronunciation. "Or Noah?"
